Hi and thanks for coming by.

Before reading, I want to say that I know quite a bit about computers, but I never got into this "older stuff" and can't find all the information I'd like. Also I have CPU-Z which tells you most things to know about your components. (Which is why I'm here).

I own a 2008 HP Touchsmart 600-1055 computer, and I play games. That's a problem.
I'm still not sure whats up with my motherboard, I dowloaded CPU-Z and checked.
(These are the results): https://gyazo.com/95242558a20527486d616cddcece4a41
After making some research, I found out that PEGATRON E60 motherboards (normally) have GeForce G200 Chipsets, CPU-Z says I have an nForce 730i, are we talking about the same things here? (I'm not sure what I can work with here).

nForce 730i (Chipset): Nvidia Website
PEGATRON E60 (Motherboard): HP Support (Specs)

As the title says, I want to upgrade my GPU (Graphics/Video Card). I am unable to find much information about the PEGATRON E60 motherboard that it uses, so I don't know what is compatible (I'm not sure if it's LGA775, for example). I'm using a GeForce GT 230 ((not 230m), it came with the computer). For the upgrade, I want to buy another Nvidia Card, a EVGA GeForce GTX 960 (I know I'm not getting all the performance I could and I know that the PSU (Power Supply) might not be able to handle all that power but that's not the point, it's a small GPU by the way).

Link to GPU Specs: http://www.ncix.com/detail/evga-geforce-gtx-960-superclocked-b9-105442-1292.htm?affiliateid=7474144

I was unable to find much information about the GT 230, since it is not on Nvidia's main website. It used to be, but not anymore I guess. Here is some of it's specs I know: It has DisplayPort, it has a default clock of 1.5Mb, mine is 1Mb, age I guess.

Here's the CPU-Z result for my GPU: Gyazo Screenshot

(I'll buy a new computer from scratch soon, I just want better FPS performance for now, I can't deal with crap FPS anymore).

To the main question. Can I upgrade to this GPU (GTX 960) With my current Motherboard, if not, is my motherboard upgradeable?

REMINDER: I use an ALL-IN-ONE PC, I dont have a regular case.

If I forgot any information that would be necessary, let me know and I'll add it to the thread.

You wont be fitting in a pc graphics card into your all-in-one. it does not have an pcie x16 slot.
You have an MXM1 slot and are stuck using the same graphics cards available for some laptops. Be careful in what you chose, you have power and thermal constraints to work within and I do not know what they are.
You will also be limited by your processor, too powerful a GPU and it will be bottlenecked by your old processor. keep in mind that this isn't a gaming machine and wasn't designed to be one.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the help!

I'll try borrowing someone's case and start a fresh build from scratch.

Here's the build I made and I'm going for: PcPartPicker Link

Let me know if you think I could change anything. I will not downgrade the GPU, I might actually change it and make it a 960 4GB instead. I might also upgrade the Motherboard to a Z97 if possible.

*The overkill PSU and Case are for upgradability, I probably won't even buy the case unless I'm done with the whole computer and I'm looking for better cooling or cable management after an upgrade.
