Looking to upgrade my GPU

I currently have a GeForce GTX 650 ti and am looking to upgrade to AMD. I am currently looking at Sapphires RD 380 or R9 380x. My mother board is: MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate (MS-7850) and I have an i5-4670k processor. I have heard that the Sapphires are DDR5 but I see people using them on motherboards that support DDR3 memory. Do I have this wrong? Are either of those cards compatible with my motherboard? Does it matter if the GPU is DDR5?

Many thanks in advance.

Solution
GPU memory does NOT affect the motherboard memory. For example, my GTX 980 is DDR5, but my memory is DDR4. As long as the cards fit in your motherboard, it is compatible. (Go with the 380x if you go for one of those)

Solution
The gpu memory has nothing to do with the RAM that you put in your motherboard, both of those cards are GDDR5 (graphics ram basically), those are both great GPU's to go with your processor and they will both work with motherboard

I am currently using a Corsair cx750M. I have been told that it can handle what I wish to choose, even it was to go with a 390 instead of a 380. Hopefully I am not wrong in assuming this.

So far the PSU hasn't given me a reason to change it but if I do, what do you recommend?

United States. I don't want to spend too much, unless I have to. If I can get away with spending less than $200, then I would consider that a victory.

My apologies, I thought you were talking about upgrading my power supply. I already plan on getting that GPU. Sorry for the confusion. Is there a particular Power Supply you recommend under $200?
