Question Looking to upgrade my GPU?

I have a6900xt and looking to upgrade it soon. I thought about a 7900xt for 4k gaming. But it seems the more I look all I find is how bad it is. From my reading Nvidea is the way to go. The closest thing to the 7900xt price is a 4080 super with 16gb of memory. So Im acrually a bit confused why. Any info is helpful.

Prices have come down on the 7900XT. I personally think Nvidia is overpriced, but I haven't used Ray Tracing and don't care to pay a 40%+ tax for it.

I would say stick with the 6900XT, wait for this summer's news about Nvidia, Intel, and AMD GPU launches.

I agree with Eximo. If you can hold fire to the upcoming announcements then you may be able to find something that is a worthwhile upgrade. A 6900xt is still a decent card

Agreed 6900xt is still good. I’ve got a 6800xt and it’s about on par with a 7800xt.

If it makes you feel better, according to this video your card almost trades blows with the 7900gre id think.
