Looking to upgrade my headphone

I currently use some old hand-me-down beats by dre. The main problem with this headset is that I hear static noise coming from the right ear cup. I believe it is some kind of interference, because the static noise is only in the right ear cup where the battery is, and it only occurs when I am actively downloading information off of the internet, such as browsing the web. When I browse the web, I hear short bursts of static noise when loading the webpage the first second or so. It is really noticable when downloading or streaming videos. Whenever a video is buffering, it buffers the next 20 seconds, and as I see the bar of the video increasing, I hear the static noise, so I am certain it has to do with my LAN connection. I've had this on my old desktop computer as well.

I have no sound card in my computer, I just plug my headset into the front of the computer. I also use a home plug instead of a straight LAN connection to the router.

I have been really interested in buying me some Astro A50s. I really want a wireless headset, something that will provide me with some good audio for movies, music and especially gaming/flight simulation. Will I have the same issue with the Astro A50's? Will the A50's eliminate this sound?

Thanks!

it might be your headphones or it might be an issue with the onboard sound on your motherboard.

-test your headphones on another pc
-test another pair of headphones on your pc

if another pair of headphones also gives noise on your pc try it with and without your computer connected to the home plug.

depending on the result.... you can find out if new headphones are the solution.

the astro a50 is rather expensive... if you do not mind mind a cord and do not mind stereo sound only i'd recommend some ath-m50s with a modmic 2.3 added on. better sound for cheaper ($135-165 for both). you would give up surround sound (but can use simulated surround sound which is just about as good) and would have a wired connection (not wireless as you wanted.).

personally i'm not too keen on the idea of the homeplug. i would think it opens way too many opportunities for signal distortion and i'm pretty sure it gives you a lower internet connection speed than if you just used cat5e though i dont think it is causing a sound issue. my first thought would be either a faulty 3.5mm plug/connection or something wrong with the headphones.

do some tests (the ones i listed) and that should give you your answer.

I've had these headphones for 3 years, and always had this problem. I recently built a brand new computer, and it works fine!

The homeplug is my only option, because I simply have no ethernet cable going to my room. Also, there is no way to get a ethernet cable to my room, I have already looked at that option.

The noise issue is not the reason why I want to get new headphones, its just one of the factors. I really need new headphones, these beats are total crap. I really like the Astro A50's. I just need to know what I would have to do to fix this issue with the right ear. I believe I would not have this because it is wireless. I guess I'll just have to purchase and see
