Looking to upgrade my HP Prebuilt PC (P6 2136)

Solution

Getting a a8 3850 is a waste of money. A 1050 isn't but even a gt 1030 will be held back by the a8. Honestly save up until 500 and ask again here later for a new system since any upgrade will result in a bottleneck. Also getting more ram is a waste too since you'll have to move to ddr4 anyways with a new platform.

That pc has had it's time it was low end 6 years ago and not meant for gaming even with the best apu and nowadays it's good enough for browsing the internet but thats it.

I would prefer all 4, but I don't know if it'll fit my budget. I could install the RAM from my current PC into my mobo but I don't know if it'll support anything. Wouldn't I have to also have to install a new OS as well? My PSU also has to support the recent upgrade as well (300W)

There is nothing worth upgrading in it. You can put a decent gpu in there but it's going to be massively bottlenecked by the weak cpu.

Really just save up for a new pc since there is nothing except maybe the hdd worth keeping.
