Hey guys, I have this old 1600x900 monitor that I bought on extreme budget, and really want to get an upgrade. I'm living in Canada and intend to use it for gaming as well as some photo editing/digital art. Shooting for around 200-250 dollars for the upgrade but if need be I can push it further. I'm not really sure what a good resolution would be, upon a precursory glance I can at least narrow it down to HDTV or UXGA, and probably 24". I'm running a ROG GTX 1070 8gb but I only want one primary monitor. As for refresh rate I'm also not really sure, but I doubt with the budget I set I'd be able to get 144Hz so maybe 75hz? I hear even that makes a smooth difference. I don't have any brand preference, but would like it if I could plug the monitor in with a DVI-D cable. Many thanks in advance!

ViewSonic XG2402 is a good priced 144hz gaming monitor, no DVI but your card has Display Port. With a 1070 card you can get a 1440 screen but prices go up for that and for 24" you won't really see much of a difference.
