Hi, I have this 4-5 years old computer, and I am looking to upgrade it. First of all I do not know a lot about computer parts, it was my brother who build this computer, but since hes overseas and busy, he doesn't have much time. Right now i use the games for playing several games such as SC2 and vindictus, however I am only able to run these games in low (or even lowest) setting, and even then there are occasional slowdown/lag time.

I have around 300-400 dollar budget and i was wondering what if it is possible to upgrade my computer to play current games in higher settings.

Since i do not know too much, i ll try to identify the parts I have with a software i found. If more info are needed, then I can try my best to find to (or if you tell me how XD)

Running on Vista Home Premium

CPU: Intel Core 2 CPU 6420 @ 2.13GHz

MotherboardI can't really find much about my mother board :? it says P5K, Serial number is MS1C74B52600832

Ram:OCZ 1 GB PC2-6400 DDR2 RAM (OCZ2VU8001G) (2 Gb in total)

Hard Drive: Barracuda 7200.10 SATA 3.0Gb/s 320-GB Hard Drive

Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT

Case: Antec Nine Hundred

Or would i be better off building a whole new computer (which of course i ll have to save more money haha...)

Well, i tried to overclock my comp a little today...lol not much luck, i ll try it again some other day when i am in the mood. Anyways, are extra rams needed for my computer, is 2 Gb enough, if so it is necessary to get the same brand, or as long as i get one that is 800mhz? I dont really like to buy from the internet, but i ll take that suggestion for sure. Thanks Alot, i ll probably check my computer stores or something when i go out.
