Looking to upgrade my PC very soon

I thought that it's about time I upgrade to an intel processer. I currently have an AMD processer and was probably thinking that I need a intel processer, Intel motherboard, and maybe a new power supply. So my question is what processer/motherboard/power supply should I get? I'm hoping after the purchase I won't have to upgrade any time soon.

I currently play games such as GTA V, Shadow of Mordor, and Far Cry 4. I'm looking to play Fallout 4, Batman Arkham Knight, ARK, and a lot of newer and higher demanding games.

Here's my PC specs.

•AMD Processor - AMD Athlon x4 860K 3.8GHz (Quad Core)
•CPU Cooling - CORSAIR Hydro Series H75 - Liquid CPU Cooler
•AMD Motherboard - FM2 Chipset Motherboard
•Memory - 8GB (1x8GB) DDR3 1866MHz
•Primary Hard Drive - 2TB 7200 RPM
•Graphics Card - EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB 256-Bit
•Power Supply - EVGA 500 Watt Power Supply
•Operating System - Windows 8.1 64 Bit

My budget stands are around $400-$500, maybe higher.

On a side note, I'm not extremely happy with my currently CPU cooler, it's a bit loud and some other little problems. Should I just get a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO or something similar?

Solution
Well there are two option you can go with.

A z170 board but you will have to get new ram as well since they only support ddr4. Or get an older (but still strong) z97 board.

so for a z170 build
ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VIII HERO $228
i5 6600K $260
Mushkin Enhanced Redline 8GB Model 997190F $62
$550
EVGA makes a good PSU so i wouldnt worry about it.

For a z97 build
ASUS ROG MAXIMUS VII HERO $219
i5 4690K $240
$459

your amd chip really isn't bad. maby you should look into overclocking it a bit. would be a way to justify replacing the cooler. Throw on an 250GB SSD.

More info on your motherboard might be helpful.... didn't know to mention another memory module or not if you could get duel channel working or not.. kind of hit and miss with memory though. If you buy local you can always return and try different if doesn't work.

I am using the stock fans, if the noises continues to be a problem i'll look into replacing them with better fans. Thank you.
