Here is my dilemma
I bought a pre-built that was built to make future upgrades (At least that's what they advertised) I play games like Arma III/Miscreated. I've noticed my build isn't as strong as it needs to be for these games, I can barely reach 45 fps on low everything.
I've been looking at GPU's and CPU's. But the higher tier GPU/CPU's seem to be too much for my motherboard to handle and I don't have the resources to start new at the moment. My question is, is how far can I push this motherboard without jeopardizing it's lifespan? This is my build at the moment.
CPU - AMD FX 6300 Vishera
Motherboard - GA-78lmt-usb3 6.0
Memory - (Honestly I don't know the brand but I have 8GB)
Storage - 1TB
GPU - AMD Radeon R7 200
Power Supply - 500W
Can I get away with just upgrading the GPU and CPU or will I run into complications with heat/compatibility etc.?
Will my Motherboard even support the power I need to run these games at mid settings with 60fps?
(I'm aware I may need a new power supply and I'm prepared to do that)
