[SOLVED] Looking to upgrade, possible RAM bottleneck? Need help identifying

Hi! I'm looking to upgrade some aspect of my computer to help with performance issues (particularly in "Escape from Tarkov", even though it is an unfinished, un-optimized game), and my oldest components in my build are my CPU, RAM, and motherboard. I'm far from having a solid grasp on most hardware issues, but I imagined that my build could use new RAM with better frequency or maybe a better CPU, as the motherboard is such a central piece it could be very difficult to replace.

I used CPUID to look at what I hope are the needed details. I run my OS and most of my games off an SSD, and save documents and spare programs to an HDD. I recently replaced my PSU with a much better one, that should be able to handle at least 100 more watts of power usage comfortably according to a very experienced (several decades, worked with one of the first supercomputers and did hardware in the US navy. Cool guy) local PC repairman. My GPU shouldn't be the main bottleneck, an AMD R9 380. It was also a replacement from what my build started as, and very roughly judging off of pricing I think it's not my main hurdle.

Based on some surface level questions I've asked elsewhere, my RAM should have at least 3000-3200 mHz for smooth operation. I'm having trouble reading the info given by CPUID, and I'll link the .txt file on Dropbox as well as copy/paste what I assume is possibly more relevant info (below. I posted a lot, warning). I am unsure if my CPU and RAM will be on par with each other if I upgrade my RAM, so I would enjoy advice on that as well. I'm willing to update with more info as needed. This isn't an urgent purchase, but if I could get it done in the next, say, week or two that'd be nice. Thanks in advance! :)

Your RAM is currently running at 1333MHz.

The max supported by your motherboard is 1600MHz.

Depending on the game and the resolution you play at, you could see an increase in performance between 10% and 1%. I would consider that not worth it.

People talking about 3000-3200 mHz are referring to DDR4 RAM, but your motherboard only supports DDR3.

Thank you so much :) I'll look into changing motherboards. I didn't know I was limited to DDR3. Have a good day/night

You have 2 different sets of gskill, a C10 and C11. The C10 defaults to 1333, the C11 defaults to 1600. You cpu defaults to either, so will default to 1333MHz as the C10 doesn't have 1600 jedec tables.

However, that's 2400 ram. (don't care what the motherboard says, it's irrelevant). Anything above 1600 is considered OC because Intel didn't test/qualify their cpus above 1600. So it's easily possible to set XMP Enabled and it might work at 2400MHz. However, it's OC and 4 sticks, which is harder work for the memory controller (inside the cpu) so that can mean for stability purposes you'd need to also OC the cpu (which you can't) to give the MC a little bit extra power to deal with the increased ram load.

So you are stuck doing things manually. If the motherboards bios allows you to manually adjust MC voltages by adding to VCCIO (or QPI/VTT), you may be able to add enough to get the 2400MHz stable at XMP values for timing.

Otherwise you'll be stuck for 1600 or maybe 1866MHz as best possible, depending on if you can manually adjust the speeds beyond 1600. If it doesn't let you raise, it'll almost always allow lowering, and you can probably push the timings lower, to maybe C9 or even C8, and maintain the 1600MHz, which will have almost the same affect as bumping speeds to @ 1866MHz or 2100MHz.

You can forget about ram speeds higher than 2400MHz, for DDR3 it basically didn't exist. That's a DDR4 speed, which is an entirely different platform.
