Looking to upgrade RAM, confused about motherboard support

I'm looking to upgrade my RAM to "HyperX FURY 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR3 1866 MHz". However when looking at my motherboard specs (Gigabyte G1.Guerrilla) it only specifies "2200 MHz, 1333 MHz, 1066 MHz, 800 MHz" as supported.

As I'm not too experience with building systems I'm confused to why 2200 MHz is specified but not 1866 MHz.

its all about pin count and speeds so your mother board can support 2200Mhz frequency but a lower may have a different pin count.

Okay, so my motherboard specs are 240-pin DIMM, would I be better off looking for DDR3 2200 MHz RAM?
