Hi guys I was wondering if I should upgrade my processor to the Athlon X4 750K because I don't want to bottleneck my GPU and I think it's now essential for most newer games to have a Quad Core Cpu. Also I Live in Canada, So If You Guys Can Help me please convert it to CAD dollars Thx 😀

Currently My Pc is:

CPU= AMD A6 6400k Black Edition 3.9GHz Dual Core
GPU= Zotac GT 740 1gb GDDR5
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-F2A88XM-D3H Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard
Ram= 4GB DDR3 1600Mhz (Gonna Upgrade to 8GB!)
HDD= 500GB Seagate 7200RPM
PSU= EVGA 430W 80+ Certified
OS: Windows 10

I kinda bottleneck in games with this CPU even sometimes in CS:GO (i Play CS:GO on 1080p ULTRA and I get very good fps from 40-60+ but it will bottleneck on different maps or just when i'm playing down to 18-26 FPS, I'm looking to game in 720p High, Medium or Low for the newer games and 1080p medium to ultra for the older games. I just want some people's opinion on this choice because I don't think it will bottleneck with my GT 740 or If I get a new Gpu like a R9 270. -Thx Royal

Solution
The X4 880K is the best, by a little bit, but it's the overclocking that will make the difference.

The X4 750K is probably the best CPU the OP can use on that board without a BIOS update. I'm assuming that they still have F1 otherwise they would have looked at a X4 760K, which uses F2.
