Question Looking to upgrade to an SSD but don't know where to start

So I've been using the same HDD for far too long and I think it's time I take the plunge and upgrade to an SSD. Problem is I really have no idea where to start. I use my PC predominantly for gaming, and I was hoping you kind folks could help me by pointing me in the right direction. What are some good options for a B450M Pro-M2 Max? Specifically looking for something in the 1TB range, maybe 2TB if the price was right.

Prefer to stay as low as possible without sacrificing too much quality. ~$150 maybe? Could probably go up into the ~$200 range if needed though.
