Looking to upgrade video card.

I am looking to upgrade my video card, I currently have a AMD Radeon HD 5830. I am looking to spend between 200-300, maybe a little over that. I was thinking about getting an Nvidia card, for Physx. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks everyone.

ASROCK 990fx extreme 3
16 gb memory
512 GB mx100 ssd and 1 TB HD
Asus VS247H monitor

Go a little over that and get a GTX 970.

For $300 you could get a GTX960, but I would advise splashing the extra $80 and going for a GTX970 - there's way more performance than that $80 would suggest it buys you.

Better GTX 960 . its faster than GTX 760 and draws up to 120W reference card

the GTX 760 is almost equal to the 280x.
A difference is that the gtx 760 will need a lot less power

If I pick the GTX 970, is there a certain variation of the card that anyone would recommend? I plan on getting it at Micro Center, if that helps.

I have two MSI GTX970 TF Gaming V cards and they perform flawlessly, so they'd get my vote.
