[SOLVED] looking to upgrade was wondering if this parts would work well together

processor- i9 9900k
motherboard- asus prime z390-a lga 1151
will these work well together or should i find another board?

The z390 is the highest end chipset by intel (Currently) for the i9 9900k

You should do fine with this combination

Yes they will work, but be advised that 10th gen is coming soon, so you are left without an upgrade path.
