Looking to upgrade

my rig parts are almost 4-5yrs old. i have partially already upgraded some parts (OS and HDDs/SSD) so some things arn't needed. Don't need display, mouse or kb / speakers. my long term goal is playing 2k/4k res but those displays are $$ so im content with 1080p.

i can run most games at max settings with exceptiion of anti anlising MOAA TSXA x 4-8. My short term goal is to be able to run something like witcher 3 at max. or similar next gens comming out now/soon.

i'd like to spend no more then 200 USD on a mobo and 300$ on a gpu. But if something is slightly higher then that and its worth the $ per performance feel free to list.

I don't know how to check the speed of my ram. i just know its dual channel and theres 16gb of it.

I also don't care if parts are intel/amd/ati/nvidia i just want $ vs performance.

u can check ram in bios. cpu is fine. not sure about what board I would choose but its high quality though. for gpu id go with r9 280X

Your RAM is fine. Ne need to change it.

The CPU/ motherboard are a good option, but don't forget that you will need to reinstall windows 7 when changing motherboards.

What PSU do you have? This is important for the GPU selection.
