Hi guys, I'm looking to upgrade my video card for something I can run demanding games at a high fps. Right now I have the SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7950 3GB, but it is starting to show it's age. I'm not getting a solid 60fps anymore on newer, graphically intense games, so I am looking to upgrade. I would like to spend around $300, and looking for something that would give the best performance for the price. I've seen some cards come out with 8gb of video ram for like $350, are those actually good? Give me your recommendations, thanks!

I would personally get the GTX 970. It's a great GPU for the money and you will get 60fps on ultra on most modern games. The 970 has great performance, cooling and silence if you buy one from the right company. I would recommend either the MSI GTX 970 or the Gigabyte G1 gaming 970, both are great.

MSI GTX 970:
Looks nice, quiet, cool, good for overclocking, overall very good card.

Gigabyte G1 gaming:
Looks ok, louder, very cool, good at overclocking, great card still.

Hope this helps :) Personally I would go with the MSI card but it's up to you.

Cool, i'll check that one out. Question though, how does this compare http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814127874&cm_re=r9_390-_-14-127-874-_-Product I see that it has more vram, but is there anything else about it that would be better?
