Hi

I'm looking to upgrade my rig so I'm hoping you guys can provide me with some suggestions. I don't have a massive budget, around £200-250. My current setup is

AMD FX6300, MSI 970 gaming motherboard, Gigabyte 2GB GDDR5 Radeon 7870, 16GB Corsair Vegeance DDR3

Solution
If you want to improve gaming performance then go with new GPU, a GTX 1060 3GB,

HD 7870 vs GTX 1060 3GB: http://gpu.userbenchmark.com/Compare/Nvidia-GTX-1060-3GB-vs-AMD-HD-7870/3646vs2161

While GTX 1060 6GB is usually suggested, the 3GB version has more value in it. You can go with 6GB version too but on average, you'll gain about 7% in performance while price goes up by 15%,

In my Skylake build (full specs with pics in my sig), i also have MSI GTX 1060 Gaming X 3G GPU that i included with pcpp. So far, my gaming experience isn't hindered by any way by the 3GB of VRAM my GPU has.
