[SOLVED] Looking to upgrade

I'm 14, 15 in summer. Been thinking about a summer job for a while and found out I could upgrade my pc while at it.
I got my current pc in 2020 and it's been holding up pretty great.

Here are my specs:
i5-7400
1050 ti
8 gb ram
128 gb ssd, 2000 gb hdd
300w'ish psu

Should I upgrade my system OR get an entire new pc, keep in mind this is used cost me 405 euros (around 440 dollars)

I would say new build, and maybe reuse that 2tb drive, for extra storage. The 1050ti could be reused, for awhile, until you can get a newer GPU, also. How much you looking to spend on this?

Yeah, really depends on budget.

In what way is your current pc not doing the job?
What is the main use for this pc?

It is now relatively well balanced.

Some thoughts:

For gaming, fast action games need a fast graphics card.
To upgrade a GTX1050 you may need a better psu.

What is the make/model of your motherboard?
CPU-Z will tell you.
Likely, it can accommodate a cpu upgrade to a I7-7700K.

8gb of ram can be restrictive.
Look in task manager/ resource monitor and access the memory tab.
Look for the hard fault page rate.
If it is much more than zero, consider 16gb of ram.

As a caveat, just adding 8gb is not guaranteed to work.
Ram must be matched to operate properly.
The success rate for Intel processors is relatively good. Perhaps 90%

A ssd C drive can lose performance and endurance as it fills up past 90%
120gb is considered to be too small.
