Looking to Upgrading my Laptop CPU from a Intel I7 2720QM

Can anyone suggest the best processor I can upgrade to from an i7 2720qm? I have been looking everywhere online and I cant find the highest possible upgrade for its socket. Its an easy upgrade because my laptop was build for gaming and I can practically upgrade anything other than the motherboard.

Are you sure the cpu is not soldered to the mobo? Laptops are not easy or cheap to upgrade.

Here is an oem i7 3630qm for $226. It should fit your socket, but the upgrade is not worth the money. Are you REALLY unhappy with your 2720? It's a great proc. Are you sure something else is not the problem?

The i7 3840qm is one if the best cpus you could get, but it's going to cost you at least $600

Ive opened up my laptop and the gpu, cpu, and the ram are all able to be removed and upgraded. I have been doing some research and I am only running a Nvidia geforce gtx 580m. Should I upgrade that instead?
