Looking to use 2 modem 2 services from same company on one cable

I have 2 modems and 2 services with the same company but only one cable coming out with a splitter connected to go to each modem will these modems be fighting for bandwidth, and will they both have same ip adress, how do that work if so how do I go about seperating the 2

If you are able to get a service like that you will get two independent IP. A DSL service only needs ONE PAIR of wires and the phone cable to your NID have often 2 or more pairs and 2nd service can use second pair.
