So I've been doing some research and looking around for a few days now and I wanted to get some opinions from some forum.

Im looking for a ~19in LCD monitor in the $200-250 price range. I prefer widescreen over the norm. I have to buy it from Bestbuy as I have two $50 giftcards.

Now I use the monitor for surfing the web and using other computer based things(e.g. normal programs), I do watch alot of videos and movies and I play games though they are crappy and not hardware extensive.

I have a Intel Extreme Graphics 2 card which prevents me from playing most games though if I ever buy another card or comp, I'd rather have this monitor hold up. Will the monitor even work on this card.

Ive been looking at some models including: Acer X191WSD, Gateway FPD1975W, and Samsung 906BW so some reviews on these and others would be great.

Thanks for anything and everything you do,

Very cool model but why do you say that 19' Widescreens suck?

Also Its not offered on BestBuy.com and looking at circuit city its price is out of my range.

all the 19 wide monitors sucks dont buy them better buy the normal 5:4

i can recommend you a very good one better then any wide 19 will ever be .

8O 8O 8O Horrible for Gaming and Multimedia
Reviewed By: Rick on 3/9/2007 Tech Level: high - Ownership: 1 day to 1 week
Pros: * Excellent color and saturation. * Good color management. * Great dynamic range. * Great for photo work.
Cons: * Image quality is good only for static images, once things start moving... * 6ms Rating is B.S.! * Very noticeable ghosting with games and a distinct red after image follows moving objects, unless everything is very brightly lit in the game scene. * Games like BF2142 are nearly unplayable! * Way overpriced for a 19" panel. It's only TN Film +hiFRC like many hybrid "8-bit" panels. Samsung's S-PVA is questionable here. * Poor DVD and movie playback. Image is blurred because of the panels poor performance in darker colors. Unsuitable for multimedia. * For full disclosure I should add that the product came in a timely fashion and was undamaged, however contained 1 dead pixel which I was able to revive by simply touching it.
Other Thoughts: While I was at first delighted by the panel's color quality (which is superb) and 2d text sharpness; the ghosting and after image produced in games and even moving windows on the desktop makes it completed unsuitable for general use other than graphic design and productivity apps. Even casual gamers should shy away from this model. I will try to sell this thing if I can; I feel I've wasted way too much time and money on it. It can't even surpass an older Samsung 710N 17" LCD from a couple years ago and that's a true shame.
