For the life of me I can not get a cd to burn in my wmp 11. always says connect burner, restart. I call myself trying every article, that i can understand, but getting no where. would some kind person, please help a computer not so smart, older person in a languang that is easy 2 understand? I have been at this for several days now, and i just ain't got the hang if it yet! Just plain, simply english. It would really be appreaciated. I need to get these muisi files off, to make more room for important things. I would also like suggestions on free to use software. very limited income. Thanking you in asvance.

Does your CD/DVD drive have writtting capability? try downloading Nero info tool and run it. It'll analys your drive and you should see checked on CD -R and -RW read and write.

Enable on CD recording on your CD drive properties.

Click on:
Start
My Computer
(Right Click) on the cd or dvd drive
Properties
Recording
Ensure the box labeled Enable CD recording on this drive is ticked.

Your drive is no recording capability then you should get one, it doesn't cost much anymore. Unless if you know someone who upgraded thier system who doesn't need the old cd writer...
