Hi,
I have the corsair h75Hi and the Gigabyte X99-UD4 MB.
I tried to install the cooling unit, as I understand no special adapter should be used for this MB, I placed the screw on top of the MB and then placed the cooling unit, but the screws on the plate of the cooling unit didnt match the screws I mounted on the MB.
I bent the plate a little bit and used a little bit of force to place the 4 screws , but still the cooling unit feels a bit loose and shsaky.
anyone faced this problem ? what can I do ? Is it ok to leave the cooling unit this way ?

Thanks

It definitely shouldn't be loose and you shouldn't have to bend stuff to get it fitted properly. Either you mounted it wrong, or your cooler did not come with all the appropriate mounting equipment.

Have a look in the H75 manual. The cooler comes with different mounting equipment for AMD and Intel, I suspect you may have tried attaching it to the motherboard with the AMD screws instead of the Intel ones.

I am using intel 5820K - and for the 2011 -3 socket.
There is only one type of screws which can be mounted on top of the motherboard ( and it is specified so in the manual guide ) .
It is not an issue of screws, not other way to mount it.

I would see if you can get this item replaced for another, if it's not your fault. The corsair website says "Intel™ LGA 1150, 1155, 1156, 1366, and 2011". if your warrenty is still good then get it replaced.
