Question Loose motherboard port/ led cable won't snap into place

So I tried connecting this LED cable to JLED1 and it wouldn't secure. So I applied more pressure and bent the pins accidentally and attempted to fix the pins. The cable doesn't snap into place. Can I put tape onto it or is there a better way to fix it?

Rule#1 - Shut down and either switch the power supply off or remove the power cord when working inside the PC.

Take some closer up pics of the port and the cable end so we can see whats damaged please. You will need to host them on a sharing site and then link us to them.
