Accelerator in Use: Intel(R) G41 Express Chipset
Video BIOS: 1760.0
Current Graphics Mode: 1280 by 1024

Hello, im new! sorry for bad english
G41M ES2L v1.0
GMA X4500 512Mb with 1Gb RAM when i have first, later i plug one more memory and increase to 1.024Mb Graphics Memory
I'm experiment with PAVP Lite Mode/Paranoide Mode on BIOS.
Run EasyTune 5, the overclocking mode (i overclock already from bios) do overclock the same and stuck and freeze screen with reflex red lines, turn it off by the button on/off
BIOS turn into default settings, on paranoid mode on full 352Mb i think if i do this my memory 1.024 degrease around 250-350mb i don't know.
by defaulting bios, video chipset it not changed and remain with the paranoid and lose memory....Help!!!Thnk you!:)

do i have this straight:
you originally had the accelerator set to use 1gb of ram, and your system had another 1gb ram set aside for it. now, after using those programs, your accelerator ram wont go over 352mb?

with 1Gb RAM 512Mb Intel GMA
with 2Gb RAM 1.024Mb Intel GMA, i don;t know why increase
and i do it with pavp lag red line reflex, turn it off, bios back to default, but memory still degrease, if i use pavp down automatically memory video, but lose memory with default bios, i don;t know what i do!
Now with 2Gb RAM have 814Mb Video Memory. Probably still take pavp with default and share memory, but RAM it;s right 2Gb not 765Mb (i think).
but graphics lose memory, i burn chipset memory? not back to default pavp and still lose and not share because RAM it is on back!?
Thnk you, i want a solution.!!!!!
Goodmorning

accelerator set 512Mb with 1Gb.
accelerator set automatically another 512Mb when i plug another 1Gb of RAM
2Gb 1.024Mb video memory, i do it that stupid pavp (paranoid) and lose memory, with un safe shutdown(reflex red lines on the screen, stuck) and then lose memory....

found that!!

PAVP Paranoid Mode

Common Options : (32+96)128MB, (48+96)144MB, (64+96)160MB, (128+96)224MB, (256+96)352MB

Quick Review

This BIOS option actually sets the amount of system memory reserved for use by the Intel integrated graphics core if the PAVP Paranoid mode is selected (via the PAVP Mode BIOS option). In other words, it is the DVMT/FIXED Memory BIOS option in disguise.

When set to (32+96)128MB, the BIOS will allocate 32 MB of system memory as graphics memory, and 96 MB of system memory as PAVP memory.

When set to (48+96)144MB, the BIOS will allocate 48 MB of system memory as graphics memory, and 96 MB of system memory as PAVP memory.

When set to (64+96)160MB, the BIOS will allocate 64 MB of system memory as graphics memory, and 96 MB of system memory as PAVP memory.

When set to (128+96)224MB, the BIOS will allocate 128 MB of system memory as graphics memory, and 96 MB of system memory as PAVP memory.

When set to (256+96)352MB, the BIOS will allocate 256 MB of system memory as graphics memory, and 96 MB of system memory as PAVP memory.

The allocated graphics memory and PAVP memory can only be accessed by the integrated graphics core and will not be visible or usable to the operating system and applications. The PAVP memory is fixed at 96 MB, so we need not worry about it.

If you only use your computer for work, or play games that are not graphics-intensive, you should set this BIOS option to (32+96)128MB. That is more than enough framebuffer memory to support a 30" LCD monitor, even with 32-bit colour and triple-buffering enabled.

You can increase the amount of graphics memory reserved if you use more than 1 monitor, or play 3D games that will require additional space for texture storage. However, the performance of the integrated graphics core is only partially dependent on the amount of graphics memory. Doubling the amount of graphics memory will not double the performance of the integrated graphics core.

Set 352mb on paranoid mode decrease system memory, 2gb to 1.67mb (is not clearly, i think) and from vidceo memory...so i overclock and freeze screen with reflex red lines, i turn it off.. back the system to default but VIDEO memory still degrease. with 2GB now have 814mb, if i unplug one slot 1gb have NO 512Mb as i first have from gigabyte but 224-250 not remember...
why increase gma video memory when i plug another RAM
and why still (damage) the video memory degrease the mega bytes (352mb think)
and have the 814mb

PLEASE HELP MEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

are you still in need of an answer? I don't know why I am replying to such an old thread, I guess it's my bleeding heart.

Apologies, but your messages are difficult to interpret, so please forgive me if I sound patronizing etc.

Is the problem this;

you first observed a malfunction of your computer after adding a new stick of memory and attempting to overclock your system while manipulating the bios setting "PAVP"? and specifically the symptom is that your system freezes up and monitor displays visual artifacts on the screen.

The hypothesis I have is two-fold; first, the overclock is revealing a faulty section of your RAM module and therefore the system displays a decreased amount of system memory. Also, it is possible that some settings in your bios aren't completely reset to default upon "clearing CMOS" so the PAVP setting is accidentally reallocating memory.

I'm diagnosing the system crash and visual artifacts on your screen as sign of a hardware level fault.
