I see alot of people that have not recieved one thing or another from losers
that do not ship when they get paid or steal pcbs from someone. I know that
this is not Kansas anymore Toto, but I'm afraid. Is there a websight that
list the losers that have cheated collectors? LMK so I don't get screwed
also. I have to admit that I dealt with a guy that took 3 months to deliver
but he was 80 years old and I do believe that he was indeed in the hospital.
It is hard to know people over the internet but I think we should keep
score.............

Hmmm, now you have me thinking. New page on my site possibly.
All I have seen is a few guys with their bad trader list.
just a name on a list, no details about the problems.
We need a group page that everyone could be involved, with all the facts.
When/if they make good, explanation, etc.., etc..

Well in theory this is a great idea, but how do you stop the "Losers" from
posting a "good" persons name just because they are trying to be the regular
ass that they are.

Perhaps a score sheet is in order. There a few people that have taken many
to the cleaners. Those with a combined score over X number of bad deals go
on the blacklist. Just a thought.

well, we can start that list with chris grahm.
i would have had a pong as of this day if he did what he was supposed to
do.
i also would have had a journey ur if it wasn't for one of superauctions
employee's (gone now though).
i can't think of his name right now. i'll post it if need be.
thats about it really.
my blaster duramold was misrepresented a little (hacked up coin door
wires), but i can live w/ that.

i think a list of good traders would hold very well.
there are enough of you in here that i wouldn't have any doubts sending
money to.

communications before E-bay purchase , cashes check 8 days after
auction and then does'nt ship boards. no response to e-mails .
Contacted several other buyers in the same time frame as my purchase
and they had the same story . Just SOL!

I don't know if it still exists anymore but you can always check out Bob
Roberts bad trader list. If the person you want to deal with is on his
list, chances are that you don't want to deal with him/her either. I just
checked out his page and that link seems to be gone. If someone can find it
please post it.

I don't mind seeing the good trader posts. Bad trader posts seem to flame
up a bit with some supporting one side and some supporting the other side,
so it really doesn't help in that situation and often times it just ends up
being a mis-communication. However, a good trader post at least lets people
know that someone else has had a previous successful exchange with someone.
The bad trader posts are sometimes fun to read as long as you're not
involved.

I personally have only had one experience with a bad trader in here, and he
was on Bob Robert's bad trader list and I didn't check it. Last time I
checked, he was still on it. Luckily it was just for a $30 coin door.

I've dealt with alot of people up here in the New England/New York/New
Jersey area and have had no problems with anyone here.

My 2 cents...

Maybe some sort of feedback like Ebay, where transactions are given a
positive or negative?

I've also noticed alot of Flaming lately about deals gone wrong on this
group. Don't get me wrong, I understand that this is a "hobby" for most
of us, but if someone has the time to post the item here, and they have
the time to correspond to someone who is interested, why is it that they
suddenly don't have time to get it en-route to that person after money
is exchanged? And why do they not respond to repeated emails?

I also read some flames about Clay recently, but the thing about Clay is
he TELLS you up front and honestly that if you buy an out-of-stock kit,
you are going to wait awhile...maybe a long while. I don't see a problem
with that. He also gives you an option of a quicker turnaround with a
rush fee, which is way beyond what he has to do. I have never delt with
him personally, but I will be when I finally order a Tempest Multi-kit,
and I would not hesitate ordering from him.

Luckily, I have never had any real problems dealing with anyone on this
group...everyone has been great! ...except maybe with a little slow
response time ;-)

Yeah, the source is 12 years of rgvac archives. I wouldn't want a web site
that would eventually be unmanaged or cease to exist to be a better
alternative. Your info is right in front of you.

I know that phoenixarcade and bob roberts both have bad trader
lists...since I have had such good dealings with both of them for years
anyone they have on their list goes on mine

Bob still has the bad trader list. It is on the parts page or Bob's parts
page back door at the top. Here is the link
http://www.homearcade.org/BBBB/bbtl.html

Seems small to me, Bob has been in business for a long time. I am surprised
to see only 6 people on the list. But Bob won't ship without payment unless
he knows you, so I am sure that eliminates a lot of problems. I have had
very good luck with my internet transactions..knock on wood. I had one guy
take 3 months to ship the product. Turns out he was in and out of the
hospital, shipped it to the wrong location ect...

I don't like the flames, they do nothing for me. I don't even find them
entertaining. I got out of kindergarden a long time ago, I'm into bar fights
now.

The thing that really irks me if people downright steal by receiving money
and not shipping or receive boards to repair and never return them fixed or
not. Some of these actions are deliberate.

I was thinking of the bad list containing only people involved in lost
items. Lost money, lost boards. Pretty basic, leaves emotion and
theoreticals out of the picture. I like the rating system idea but not sure
if it would be reactive enough. Once you start to steal your days are
numbered but you could cheat a lot of people before you go. If we had a Bad
list, the people on that list could have a chance to respond. If they are
good people, they would want to have their name cleared.

my 2 cents
Rick
