So this happens at random intervals. Sometimes I can go days, weeks without this happening. And sometimes it happens twice in 2 hours.
Basically I'll be playing a game and my computer is running fine. I have corsair link up and watching my temps. All within reason. Then all of a sudden my monitor loses input, almost like the gpu crashed. And the power stays on, but the power button on the chassis doesn't work nor does the reset button. I physically have to unplug the psu and flip the switch, cycle the power then plug back in and flip the switch for it to even turn back on.
I have no clue what is happening. Please help.

I am trying to figure it out but cannot come up to any point, because your specifications are really good and you've elaborated it nicely. Will get back to it if anything strikes here. Following the thread as well.

Actually, now that I've reread your original post (and not at 3:00 AM), it sounds almost like something on the motherboard is failing. I can't think of any other reason it wouldn't respond to the power or reset buttons if just the software was frozen. I'm assuming you've tried doing a hard shutdown when it freezes? Holding the power button and all that?

Honestly, after doing some research that's what I think it is. Yeah, rest button doesn't work. Power button doesn't work. Have to flip PSU switch and remove power cable then recycle the power. To get it back up.
