Question Losing signal and fans getting really loud.

So I’ve been using my pc for about 2 years now and suddenly today, I lost signal but could still hear. Also to note, my fans started getting really loud. I also smelt a burning and found my GPU was connected to a moles connector which had its Plastic casing melt, could this cause all of this?
