so, i had 60 gb of free space, i ran a whopping 6 hours and 40 min defrag and gained 30 gb of free space. but since im not a super computer expert and it still said i had some defragmented files i decided to do it again, but this time i lost 50 gb of space, and i cant seem to get them back. suggestions? i looked around for a bit and some say shadow storage and backup points, but my max for those is 6 gb. not even close to 50. thank you for your help

Defrag rearranges your data so it linear instead of spread out here and there. You shouldn't gain or lose space with it.
Try using WinDirStat to find whats using up your space. You also might want to check your drive SMART to see if the drive is having problems.
