loss of chrome reflective textures fs2004

I noticed several weeks back after downloading an add-on aircraft that I
had lost my chrome reflective textures on the XP-38 chrome P-38 aircraft.

I didn't think anything of it till I flew the Baron58 tonight and noticed
that the center propeller cowling was no longer chrome. Now that really
bugged me.

My question is,
How can I recover the reflective chrome texture short of re-installing
FS2004 ?
All other reflective textures works. Anything that should be chrome appears
to be gray in color.

Sometimes the most obvious solutions are the easiest to
overlook... have you gone to Settings > Display > Aircraft
and checked 'Reflections'?

thank you for your advice.
sure enough the reflection box got unchecked, how, i have no idea.

now i'll have to wash all the bugs off the cowlings to make it look nice !
