Lost 9 folders from my usb!

I was recently using my USB on my phone through an OTG cable. It disconnected for a moment and when I re connected it I was missing 9 folders containing pictures and videos! I need those back desperately PLEASE SOME ADVICE

Hook it up to a computer to verify the folders are lost. If the USB drive is corrupted their is a good chance a usb repair program won't resurrect them

If they are not you might be wise not to use directly on your phone because this sounds like any number of issues related to the phones OS or power draw.

SOME ADVICE: Listing your phone and OS version will yield a higher level of technical advice.
