Question Lost a "jumper plug" while attempting to clear my CMO, does this matter?

So my newly installed ram put my PC in a boot loop, I researched and came to the conclusion that I needed to reset my CMOs. In order to do this I apparently needed to do the steps in the image below. I ended up losing the blue thing and now I am left with only 1 blue thing (as shown in the 2nd image below). Is this something to be worried about? I managed to get my PC started up and it seems to work fine. Will not having one of those blue things be detrimental at all?

(the blue thing I lost was originally occupying the "PASSWORD CLR" prongs)

If you can't find the jumper, see if you can find a small paper clip to bridge the two pins on the left of the image that you'd taken, to complete that circuit.
Would removing the CMOS battery have the same effect if it's easier to get to?
With big hands (like my own) trying to see pins while shorting them at the same time can be a right pain but I guess that has to do with how much space you have in your case
