Lost a user account on my pc - can i get it back

Hello,

A user account seems to have been totally deleted out of my laptop with all the pictures of my bab
by son - is there anyway I can get them back??

Any advice is much appreciated.

did you click delete yourself?

if not, it might somehow became unregisted with the computer, so ..
if you're windows xp - go to computer > C drive > Documents and settings > (account name)
or vista/7 - go to computer > C drive > users > (account name)

if its not there you might consider getting a undelete software (UndeletePlus by TouchStone software or something)

it is win XP and I do find it there under documents and settings.
but upon switching to other user I do not have that user name as an option and it is the same in safe mode.
