Lost as to Need for Speed names.

So, the only Need for Speed I own is Undercover, and I LOVE it! (Though it's way easy if you play the numbers game.)
I've played NfS: The Run, and didn't care for it as much, due to the plot (and repetitiveness). But that's beside the point.

So here's my question. What are the need for speed games in order of newest to oldest?
I've looked all over for it, but can't find it, and there's not a coherent naming system.

The other part of my question is this: Are there any newer NfS games that play like Undercover but have better graphics?

As for your last question: there are newer games with better graphics, like Need for Speed Hot Pursuit, Need for Speed Most Wanted (2012), though they have no story.
