lost both mouse & keyboard (hp envy desktop) all of a sudden. the operating system works perfectly (also in safe mode), so, it seems to be a driver issue. how can i get to the proper windows to disable the corrupt drivers and reboot, if i can't use any keyboard or mouse? they both work fine during the booting process, right up to windows sign-on, then, nothing. of course, the three restore points i can find don't work...sometimes windows can be SO fun.

thanks!

Solution
Go to the manufacturer's website for those products and download the drivers to a file on a USB thumb drive (it makes it easy to find). Then when you update the driver (in device manager) choose that exact file location to look for the driver.

The Windows updates mess continues to get worse. Graphics driver and audio drivers have been replaced with crap drivers for some time. Microsoft Windows continues this policy of replacing device drivers under the banner of improved security.
