I went into system configuration, boot, advanced options, and checked the number of processors and upped it to 4 (maximum on my computer) and then restarted and now it only shows me one core.

Solution
Well, you cant lose cpu cores lmao, you just somehow disabled them. Reset your bios, also, why you went to mess with the cpu cores? they are always all active by default.

Some people mess with them for x y z reason but... usually you never EVER FOREVER IN ALL EVER need to mess with them.]

furthermore if you really want to mess with your cores... you need to guide us through or learn how to, bios interfaces are different from mobo to mobo, manufacturer to manufacturer, version to version... we cant simply blindly tell you how to .

Lol. I didn’t mean it that way i meant i disavled them. I was watching a YouTuber thiojoe and like i liked his content because it was very helpful to say the least then youtubes autoplay puts me on one of his videos from 2 years ago. Where he told people to do this thing with there cpu cores as it would double there processing speed. Because i just watched 5 videos previously of his technology tips and they were true i trusted him. And thats how I ended up turning off all my cores. His video literally caused thousands of people to blue screen and have to change there laptop. And he puts in the description its a joke.

Lol whoa... Never blindly follow YouTube videos. This Is almost as funny as the people who drilled iPhone 8s for a headphone jack because of a video... Or tried to charge it in a microwave.

Disabling half your cores cuts your cores in half and nothing else

Before you do anything else that some YouTuber says will make your computer "faster", please come check with us first. We will be more than happy to help you out and make sure you don't do anything harmful. There are LOTS of really good tech youtubers out there, I'm not saying they are all crap by any means. But by the same token there is also a huge amount of really really bad content. Unless you really know what you're doing, it can be very hard to separate the good content from the bad.

I fixed the problem though ( hopefully). I now am able to see all my cores again. And also I realized i did something stupid right after i did it so I changed back my settings to default and deleted everything that i have changed. My computer seems to be just fine. Is there anything I should be worried about?
