My computer froze and indicated some disk damage after reboot all files were
gone, inclulding photos, programs, etc. had to reinstall windows xp to get
computer to go again. can files be retrieved somehow? Help

If you did a new (clean) install of XP, your harddrive was formatted
and ALL previous files were deleted. No way to retrieve any of them.
Did you make any backups of personal files such as photos, graphics,
documents, etc? Always make copies to CDs to save future headaches.
