I have recently installed a 15GB HD (7200) in my computer. The bios recognises it as 15GB but when i get to windows it tells me that there is only 13.9(in c:/) and 14.3(under system info.) I have partioned it with FAT32 and cant see how i lost this space. Thanks for your help - DEL

It is important to know that... BIOS and Windows calculate disk space differently. For BIOS, 1 GB is 1,000,000,000 bytes; Windows, on the other hand, takes 1 GB as 1,073,741,824 bytes (did i get my math right?). So when you take 15,000,000,000 divided by that number you will get something less... it's ok, it's not any space lost.
