Question Lost Installed Local Drive Programs w/ OneDrive Sync

I NEED HELP! I have a Lenovo Legion GO that I was using for gaming and various tasks. I bought a new laptop about 2 months ago and haven't used the Lenovo since. Both are connected to my Microsoft OneDrive. Today, I simply turned on my Lenovo, and all of a sudden all my desktop shortcuts from my new laptop appeared on the Lenovo (not runnable) and programs and files on my local hard drive disappeared. I can't run about half my programs on each device. This is devastating. is there a way I can get my programs back on both devices? Literally, all I did was turn on the Lenovo

disable auto sync
check if the files are in the recycle bin either on the computer or onedrive online

try finding a restore point / backup on you current computer
if not available, try using 3rd party recovery tools like recuva or similar
