Lost Keyboard in Win7

20 years in IT, never seen this. My son was playing Overwatch and the keyboard stopped excepting input. We use USB wired keyboards. Had a new keyboard so I plugged it in and rebooted. Same problem. Tried different USB ports, nope. I can use it to F2 into BIOS, so it works there. Win 7 sees it and says its working. I can disable device and uninstall drivers. The keyboards Num lights up. I tried SafeMode, nope. For some reason, Win 7 will not except input from the keyboard. We picked up a wireless keyboard and its working fine. I do NOT want to format/reinstall. Google failed me!

did you check the power output of usb also if all the pins in it are ok like the power ones and the data ones .
