[SOLVED] Lost my desktop icons

Hello,
How do I get my desktop icons back on desktop?

Assuming the icons are shortcuts to applications

Go into wherever the applications are stored in Macintosh HD
Right-click on the one you want and select Make Alias
Now drag the icon onto your desktop.

Do this for as many applications and things that you need.
