If your mobile phone is Apple. use the find my iphone feature, apple has a strong privacy. So if someone connect to wifi or internet you can find your phone. For Android phones use the googleplay to find the exact location of your phone if it is connected to the internet.

You cannot find your phone unless if it is connected to the internet
