Lost my photos

I have an HTC desire 526 phone I currently moved my photos from my phone to my micro SD card and now they are gone I need help restoring my photos cause they are of my children please help

If your phone is connected to your Google account, there's good chance Google has a backup of your photos.

No I already tried that only five of my picks are in there out of 636

On some devices Google Photos does not automatically back things up, my S7 on Verizon does, my kid's LG V20 on MetroPCS does not, you need to select every item to be backed up. Don't know why and could not find anything about this issue.

If they are not backed up and they are not on the SD card, you can't get them back if you moved them and they are not saved anywhere else. Did you check the card on a computer to see if the files are there and just not showing up in the phone?
