Hi All

I had a i5 3570k OC to 4.7Ghz (1.395V) - delidded, coolaboratory ultra liquid between lid and die, and between lid and heatsink, have an Arctic Freezer 13, mobo gigabyte z68xp-ud3p. Usual temps 65-70C max at 100% CPU. Been running like this for about 4 years and I suddenly lost my overclock. The PC was suddenly Green screen of death since I'm on windows insider program with inability to boot to a usable screen. It was only because I saw CPUTemp at 81C that I decided to drop the clocks, that I worked it out. Now it's 51C with CPU at 34% at 3.4Ghz. I can't even clock it to 3.5Ghz and it doesn't boot (I get green screen of death as my apps are loading).
Does this sound like electromigration to you? I didn't think the coollaboratory ultra liquid drier up. PC was not moved or interfered with in anyway when this started happening.

Thanks
Igor

No it's not Electromigration. Electromigration won't make you loose your ENTIRE overclock. What will happen is that you can only achieve say 4.6ghz at the same voltage, then 4.5, then 4.4. It's very gradual, not a huge leap.

Make sure your BIOS is up to date and try using a non beta version of windows.
