Lost the Sidebar

This just happened. I suddenly seem to have lost the left sidebar. I am running pretty much the default settings/preferences. I don't have the "collapse sidebar" checked or the "collapse side navigation". And everytime I go to preferences, the "save" bar at the bottom of the screen is there even tho I haven't changed anything. Any ideas?

I had the same problem a few weeks back. It turned out I had narrowed the window a bit without noticing, and the sidebar came back when I made it wider. I don't use full screen.

Bingo!
That was it. I must have enlarged the screen text w/o remembering I did that. There simply was no room for the sidebar. Problem solved. User error.
