Lost Views

Hi ...

I seem to have lost all my other views of my aircraft interior (ie
side, right and left forward rear etc.) apart from the front 2d
panel.... I know I must be doing something stupid...
Any ideas??

What is the aircraft in question? Not all of them, right?

Ouch!.. Sounds like you broke something fundamental inside the FS9 core
software.

I personally can't help. I usually say you rarely need to reinstall FS9..
but in this case maybe you do.

Just a quickie...

It only appears that my generic FS9 aircraft have lost their views...
All my commercial addons work perfectly!

I don't know what level of FS tinkering you are but:

FS displays side views in two ways in the 2-D (non VC) cockpit.

1) 7 photographs provide the 7 views in the 2-D cockpit. You can find and
look at them all in the /panel folder of the aircraft.

or...

2) These photographs are not included and FS will default to using the 3-D
virtual cockpit views. You can tell by looking at the ailerons out the side
view, if they move when you move the controls then FS is using the 3-D
virtual cockpit views.


All of the default aircraft use the 3-D virtual cockpit views. Many add on
developers use the 7 photographs.

Is this a solution? No... just a diagnostic point. Those aircraft with
the 7 photographs might be working and those aircraft that use the 3-D
virtual cockpit side views are not.

Is this the case?

Hi,

Somewhere in FS (either the Options/Settings menu or in the fs9.cfg
file) there is an entry see_self=0. Change that to see_self=1.
