LOTR ROTK installation stuck on "please insert play disc"

Hi,
I'm trying to install "The Lord of The Rings - The Return of The King" on my Windows 10 PC. The installation works fine until I'm prompted to insert the play disc, at approximately 76% of the installation. If I insert the disc and try to press continue, the small message window reappears instantly, as if the cd is not inserted... What am I supposed to do?

Microsoft removed SafeDisc and SecuROM support from Windows Vista and newer on September 2015 with KB3086255.

Copy protected games from that era will not work without circumventing the copy protection, discussion of which is prohibited on this forum.

I would look for a LOTR forum on that manufacturer brand name., I bet you it was addressed, and they may even have issues a "official fix" to get around this issue. gluck
