Question lots of fps drops and stutters after installing new cpu

hi i’m not sure if this has happened to anyone else but yesterday i put in a new cpu and after that my performance in fortnite has went really bad… when in game i get lots of fps drops and stutters making it pretty much unplayable, when i’m in creative mode tho it’s fine. my specs are: i7 3770, rx 570 gpu, 8gb ram, and my motherboard is a GIGABYTE GA-Z68AP-D3 LGA1155. can anyone help me with this?

In bios make sure you have under graphics selection gpu selected and not CPU HD graphics. Also in device manager make sure your gpu is listed under display adapter.

okay i have done that and i’ve went and tested my game but i’m still getting stutters and drops…

You could try a clean installation of Windows.
