I have a 760 with an Intel i7 processor and 16 gb of ram and all of a sudden my PC starts lagging when ever I play through the BF4 Campaign. I'm really not sure what is going on here because I've updated my drivers and rebooted my computer and there's been no progress, and this all happened so randomly.

What should I try next?

Thanks

Try the normal checklist for the hrdware itself (e.g. power sockets, pcie socket), try reinstalling the drivers. It should not be lagging with 4 GB of GDDR5 RAM on a 1080p monitor.

Hello, This is my exact card, and it has 4gb. It's even lagging on medium settings. My monitor is an Asus 24inch which was purchased last year and it's a 60hz monitor.

If all hardware and connections our working good then you may have some software (bloatware) or a virus running in the background. Update you virus software and run a full scan. You can download and use Process Explorer and get real-time detailed info of what software is running and its system usage. Process Explorer is free and the details it gives u is to long to list. Think of task manager on steroids with a lot more options that is Process Explorer. Another issue you should check is overheating. Games like BF4 will stress your system. HW monitor is a great software tool for checking many sensors built in the motherboard, videocard, harddrives and more. It is also free. Hope this helps

Thanks for all of your replies, I figured out the issue..

I installed HWMonitor and checked the temps of my components and I noticed that my GPU was running at 93 degrees celcius! I put my hand over the back of the case and only cold air was getting blown out so it was obvious that something was wrong with my corsair 100i. I reinstalled it and made sure everything was screwed in properly and that did it, my temps are much lower and I experience 0 stutter.

Thanks again for your help and hopefully this thread will help someone in the future.

Glad u found ur issue. I overheated a CPU just a few weeks ago and ruined it. Thank goodness it was just a old amd x2 cpu. I thought I had latched the heatsink and fan down but I must have missed seeing one side was not latched down. The computer shut down when the cpu got hot after about 3 min into loading OS and that was it for the cpu. It continued to overheat after that and had to pitch it. First Time I ever missed something like that and lost a cpu.
